If a fellow tribe members charges you interest for a loan, you’ll be struggling to repay the debt. If he gives you a loan interest free, you can grow your business much faster and the tribe will be more prosperous as a whole.

Are Private Label Right (PLR) Products Right For You?

I still remember the day I was first exposed to Private Label Rights. It was from my friend Edmund Loh. Some of you may know him as the PLR Extraordinaire :)

The first thing that came to my mind was… Why would I try and sell something that wasn’t written by me? I wasn’t comfortable with selling to my precious subscribers something that was not created by me. It just seemed to unsincere.

Nevertheless, being a curious animal, I gave it a shot. I purchased my first set of PLR products (not from Edmund by the way, not after showing him my skepticism :P )

It came with a few e-books, covers, source file and tutorial. The tutorial was a good touch, it gave me some idea about what to do with it and what I could NOT do with it. As I was reading through
the materials, I couldn’t help but notice how well and professionally it was written, probably by some trusted freelance writer. As I dug deeper into the contents, I realized that some of the stuff were
pretty good, in fact, better than some stuff I would write!

Still, I wasn’t convinced. If I attempted to sell a PLR product, would it generate as much money to cover the costs of the product itself?

So I decided to do a little math… I won’t bother you guys with the details but let me just sum up my findings in one sentence.

Own Product = [Cost of hired writer, graphic designer + Time cost of researching niches, creating a product, sales letter, OTOs, Backends]
PLR Product = [Cost of PLR Product]

And then it hit me… It just made more sense to buy PLR products to bolster my online business. Although I decided that I won’t use them straight as my frontend product (back then), I decided to break them down into smaller chunks and use them for article marketing, free gifts, viral e-books and raw content for blogs. The result? I saved a lot of time and money and gained MUCH MORE for my money’s worth.

This reminds me of something I learnt in my early days when I was at a wealth creation seminar. The speaker taught us the concept of leverage. We only have 24 hours in a day. As much as we can try to squeeze in more work into a day (also known as the results by volume approach), it just wasn’t a sustainable option. It was then I learnt how to leverage on virtual assistants, freelance writers and designers to save my time on creating products.

PLR has been a great breakthrough for me. I get to leverage on the work of other internet marketers and use it build my business and maximize its potential.

How To Avoid The Biggest Mistake In Marketing

The biggest mistake of newbie marketers who have a great product they wish to sell is to offer it up front to their customers. No matter what home business you are in, demonstrating authority, trust and credibility plays the fore front to any marketing campaign.

So how do I do all these?

The easiest way to get people on the good side with you is to offer them a free gift. Something of value which is related to what they are looking for. For example, if you wish to sell an audio series on dating women, offer them free tips on dating women either in the form of a newsletter or e-book.

That’s fairly simple marketing stuff. If you’re new to online marketing, just so you know that this “free gift” is given in exchange for your prospect’s email. The prospect has to subscribe to your mailing list in order to download or access this free gift. This system can easily be setup with email responders like GetResponse. It’s not free, however. But still, it is an essential for anyone who wants to start a home business or online. Collecting your prospects’ emails are important because you want to keep in constant contact with them. If you didn’t get their contact, they would probably visit your blog or website once and won’t come back forever.

So once you have their emails, you can send them follow up emails and build further rapport with them. Alternatively, you can blast emails about whatever new blog posts you have and ask them to read it. Blogs normally give you more flexibility in creating interesting stories which can captivate your prospects better.

Continue to provide good free value to your customers and also offer them useful things (free or not) which you may deem useful for them. Once they trust you and recognize you as an authority in your field, you then have the right to sell them things.

How Blessed Are We

The other day, I asked my friend if she been to any other countries before. She said that her dad hasn’t brought her anywhere besides Singapore. Upon further investigation, it happens that her father came from a poor family and that he had to leave school when he was young to earn a living.

Ever since then, he always did his best to save money and provide the best for his family – A roof on top of their heads, a comfy bed and food on the table. We were planning a trip to Bali and it occurred to me how blessed we are. Our parents have worked hard all their lives just so that we can live in comfort now.

Electronic devices have become the norm now. Iphones are rampant. Even frequenting trendy cafes and having nice meals are the norm now. But I started to question myself… What if I was in my parents’ shoes back then? Would I have been this blessed?

This event further strengthened my goals. I will strive even harder to achieve financial and time freedom, and give back to my parents whom have worked so hard to give me a comfortable life. Father’s day is coming. A day for us to show our gratitude to our dads whom have given their all to put food on the table.

Now why did I ask you to watch it? Its because I wanted to point out something here.

Did you notice how Spiderman risked his life and gave everything he got to save the people on the train? He did it because he knew he had  the power to and was capable of doing so.

And this, was the reason why I started my career in internet marketing. You see, I have a goal. I want to help others live their lives to the full potential. I wanted to give people the time and money freedom so that they can live their life’s passion without holding back and give their fullest gifts the the world. And that is why, I have devoted my time and energy to teach internet marketing through writing articles, blog posts and engaging in discussions.
