As the title suggests, this blog post is to remind us that the internet and business world is constantly changing, and things which may giving results back then might not be working anymore now.
For example, article marketing is one of the key tools for driving free traffic to your site. But if you haven’t noticed already, everyday there are tons and tons of new articles which more or less talk about the same thing. This holds true especially for the “make money online” and “internet marketing niche”. Sure, you might get a few lucky visitors to your site, but this isn’t the long term solution! In a highly saturated niche, you just can’t rely on conventional traffic generating methods to get people to your site.
So how do we overcome problems like this?
Well, if your business isn’t about making money online, then you probably stand a chance at article marketing. If you want to get more traffic to your site, I always believe we should constantly provide good value to your site visitors and they will certainly come back to your site. Focus on your content before worrying about traffic, because when your content is great, the visitors will come in naturally.
Also, don’t discount the fact that there are many other effective traffic generating methods out there such as Facebook and Twitter marketing, paid advertising (Google Adwords, Yahoo Overture), and just mingling with the other folks on forums. The key is to implement all methods synergistically to create a steady flow of traffic, provide tons of value on your site, capture their emails and then continue to build rapport, trust and credibility with your list.
There’s no other way. However, if you think of something new and innovative, you could turn it into a gold mine.
