There’s a lot of talk about PLR everyday, but how does one know whether the PLR they invest in will help them to grow their business and bring in more profits?

This blog post will teach you how to select the right type of PLR for your online business. I’m sick and tired of people being cheated by PLR salesman just for a quick buck. So listen carefully -

The ultimate goal of having PLR is to make money and provide value to your subscribers. If you want to accomplish that , here are a few key things to look out for when choosing PLR products:

1) Market Potential

I can’t stress this enough. There is no point investing in PLR products which are in dead niches. To determine the market potential of PLR, there are two simple ways: Keyword research and common sense.

I mean, think about it, if no one is searching for it, nobody wants to buy it. If even YOU can’t make sense out of the PLR you are selling, then who else is going to buy it?

2)Congruency with your business

The PLR products you purchase must be able to fit into your core business. For example, if you are in the business of teaching people how to make money online, PLR products catered to wealth creation, online marketing and personal development are a good match for your business as they compliment each other.

Conversely, if you are in the dog training business, no point buying fishing PLRs unless you intend to branch out into a new niche. However, a dog grooming PLR manual might be useful as it serves as a product your existing dog training customers might be interested in.

3) Reputation of the PLR creator

The PLR source has to be someone who has a proven track record of quality PLR products. How does one gauge his reputation? Well, if he has built a brand for his PLR well enough and continually produces more and more PLR products under his flagship brand, you can be quite sure his products of are a reputable source. When I say reputable, I mean his products are of fresh, original and good content. A reputable PLR seller would often give away his products for free so you can have a taste of his products, because he is confident in the quality of it all.

4) Value for money

Perhaps the most important question of all is, am I getting my money’s worth for what i’m investing in? A lot of money goes into the creation of products, which include paying writers to write articles, blog posts and sales letters, web designers to design websites and graphic designers to design graphics. If you prefer to do things yourself, bear in mind that time=money, and the more time you spend on creating products rather than generating sales, you are losing double your amount of money in time.

How To Write Copy Headlines That Convert Like Hell

Do you want to know how to write killer copy headlines? This blog post is gonna show you how!

Have you ever walked into a book or magazine stall and see thousands of magazines lined up covering a wide range of topics? Well, do you realize that some of these magazines INSTANTLY catches your eye?

Fun fact: Its not the bikini-clad ladies, (ok well, it might be :P ) But its more of how they word their covers.

And that’s where the secret is. You need to know how to word your copy in a way that catches your audiences’ attention immediately, because if you fail in doing that, there’s no way you are going to get any sales.

Think about it. In a rack of 5000 magazines, if the cover doesn’t have a catchy headline, you won’t get any sales.

To illustrate a good example: My friend working as a pharmacist in the Traditional Chinese Medicine field wrote an article depicting the pharmacy Traditional Chinese Medicine department.

The article was titled:
Dissecting a Pharmacist’s Role in Traditional and Complementary Medicine
Now while the article was quite well written, the topic almost bored me to death. Therefore, I suggested her to change her topic to: “Chinese Massage Parlour Secrets Uncovered: A TCM pharmacist reveals all”.

Get what I mean?

The next time you write a topic headline for your copy: Go for something that triggers emotions in your readers such as curiousity, anger, lust, hate or just plain confusion. If you want ideas, go back to the magazine rack at the local book store and checkout those eye catching magazines! (not the bikini ones)

Becoming Superman: How To Achieve More In Less Time

One of the reasons for starting a home business is to create time and financial freedom for ourselves while in our pyjamas. The problem most home business owners face is that they end up spending more time trying to make ends meet than create freedom for themselves.

Clearly, it seems, if we want to achieve our financial goals fast we can employ these time tested strategies for increasing productivity by doing more in less time:

1) Use Pareto’s Principle (80/20 Rule)

Determine the 20% of activities that result in 80% of the results you want.

-20% of customers account for 80% of sales

-20% of traffic sources account for 80% of traffic to your site

-20% of efforts results in 80% of earnings

Focus your time on these 20% of activities and less on the 80% activities.

2) Eliminate low-value activities

Low value activities are defined as activities which don’t move your life forward or don’t contribute to getting the results you want. These could be watching TV to surfing Facebook, chatting online or just playing games. If you really must take a break, set a fixed time for relaxation (work not allowed, not even thinking) and tell yourself to focus on work when fun time is up.

3) Focus your efforts

When your mind is not focused, you can end up spending 1 hour to do something that takes 10 minutes when you are focused. Therefore, get yourself psyched up and juiced before starting on an activity. For example, if you plan to write a series of articles, get into the mojo of the “writing mode” and don’t be distracted by other activities.

4) Plan in advance

As the popular saying goes, for each 10 minutes you spend on planning, you save 1 hour of work. Therefore, spend more time planning so you can save yourself much time in advance rather than run around like a headless chicken.

5) Set yourself up to win

My personal favourite: Always set yourself up to win in whatever you do. If you plan to get a good workout at the gym, make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day and get ample rest or you’ll just be wasting time in the gym. Similarly, make sure all your materials, resources and groundwork are ready before you embark on a task to ensure you achieve maximal results for the time you put in.

If you want to build a highly profitable and successful home business, you must pay close attention to these  very important principles – Which have the ability to make or break your business.

1) Not targeting a “fast-growing” niche

The biggest mistake home business owners can do is go into a niche which is stagnant or does not grow at a fast enough rate. If there is no market potential, profits will be low for the amount of effort you put in and after many years, you will still be stuck in a rut.

2) Not being the market leader of your niche

Why do you think majority of Mc Donalds are highly successful and small restaurants are struggling to make ends meet? Its because they have a well systemized recipe for success which has made them the leader in the fast-food industry. If you are not one of the top 3 leaders in your given niche, you won’t be making much money.

3) Not having a solid business plan

If you think running a business is simple, you are probably right. Running it is easy, but making shitloads of money is a different story. If you want to make a highly profitable business, one that earns you endless streams of passive income, you must have a solid business plan! I can’t stress this enough. It doesn’t matter if you are in an online business or offline business, everything must be well planned from your marketing strategy to your growth strategy.

Case in point, if you want to succeed and make difference in your current income, the time to act is now. If you are making any of those 3 mistakes above, it’s time to fix it and tweak your business accordingly (or even start all over from scratch).

1) Find a product to sell – Make sure there is a need or growing market for the item that you are selling that doesn’t have too much competition. Or if you intend to compete… make sure your product stands out with some interesting features.

2) Set up an online blog – An online blog is easy to set up and allows you to connect with your customers and promote your products.

3) Draw traffic to your blog or website - You have to learn the marketing tools to bring visitors to your online shop. You can use offline methods (direct response marketing) or online methods (internet marketing).

4) Capture your audiences email – You have to capture the contact information of your prospects so you can send them emails and bring them back to your blog, offer them tips and advice and promote your products.

How To Put The Pieces Of Your Online Business Together

For those of you who haven’t started your online business, I sort of understand because when I first started out, I had virtually NO IDEA how was I supposed to make money online. The cut a long story short, I’ve been learning from a lot of internet marketin mentors such as Khai Ng and Edmund Loh who have been very generous in imparting their knowledge to me.

Somehow, I felt that it was only right that I shared my learnings with others. That’s why I started the HomeBizBlogExpert Blog and gave a free report on how to start an online business. (You can download it too by signing up on the menu bar at the right). Now I was looking through my report, and I realised that its far from perfect. I also realised that it may be difficult for some to put the pieces together as to how to start a profitable business online. That is why I decided to write this blog post. It will save you MONTHS of figuring out how to combine your knowledge in building your website… marketing, advertising, capturing leads and finally making that sale…

Please take note that if you feel lost, feel free to refer to the free resources provided in the Home Business Guide. I would suggest you read the guide first and then read this blog post if you haven’t already. Lets go!

Your Product

This is the first step to your online business. You must first determine what your product is going to be. It must be something your target market needs (not wants). The best way to find out is to do market research. Scour the forums or just talk to people in your target market to find out what they want, and then create something of great value for them. The product is the first step because it will determine the direction of your business and how you want to position your business to compete in your chosen niche.

Your Website

After you have created your product, you will need a website. The tools provided in the ultimate home business guide will show you how to set up one. Why must you have a website? Well, the website is like the physical presence of your business. Is where you draw visitors (prospects) and turn them into long term, loyal customers. Your website is where you will connect with them, provide them value and also show the human element. Important to note is that people buy things out of emotions, and rarely logic, especially in the online marketing arena. Your website is where you will instill the emotions of desire into your prospects and help them to solve their problems.

Lead Capture

The next important step after your website has been setup is the lead capture process. You must be able to turn your website visitors (also known as traffic) into leads. This can be done by offering them something of value for free, in exchange for their emails – using an automated email responder program such as GetResponse. If you haven’t got one, please get one immediately! From the program you can generate sign up forms where people can sign up to get your free product. What does it look like? Drawing Traffic

Once you have your website and lead capture all set up, its time to rack up the traffic. And i’m not talking about those annoying vehicles you had to go through when you still were in your 9-5 job. There are many ways to draw traffic to your website. Once again, refer to the resources in the Home Business Guide or check out the marketing tools section on top to learn how you can draw tons of traffic to your website. The more traffic you get, the more subscribers (lets call them prospects) you can collect for your business.

Building The Relationship

So now you’ve got subscribers from all that traffic you have generated. Great. Now what? How do I make the first sale? Well, in order to profit your must first provide value. This is the law of the universe. You will be rewarded in direct proportion to the amount of value you provide to your customers. Therefore, you must connect. Use the automated email responder program to craft emails which will be sent at fixed intervals which will provide useful information to your subscribers. GIVE GIVE GIVE. Give and you shall receive. I can’t stress this point anymore. If your subscribers love your stuff, they will definitely buy from you. When was the last time you bought a book or product from someone? If because that particular someone or business has conveyed sufficient value and credibility to you.

Selling The Product

You’ve a great website, tons of traffic with tons of value, and lots of loyal subscribers you have connected with. You’re almost done. Finally, send out an email blast promoting your product. Don’t promote the product in the email, just ask them to checkout what you have to offer and give them a link. This link will bring them to the sales page. The sales page is your online 24 hour salesman which will sell your product for you. Once again, refer to the guide for tips on writing a killer sales page, or just look around at how other internet marketers craft their page. I won’t go into detail on every nook and cranny of the winning sales page but I just want to show you all the important points of a working business funnel.

Once you have made the sale, don’t stop there. It costs much more to get a new customers than to retain existing ones. So continue to provide value to your subscribers and constantly innovate new products which they might find useful. Ok, that kinda sums up the basics of putting your online business together. There are tons of advanced techniques for marketing your business, getting more traffic, turning leads into customers and so forth. I won’t go into all that today. I hope you found this post useful. “FANAFI” stands for Find A Need And Fill It. You’d be suprised as to how many home businesses fail because their owners forget to do thorough market research before going into something, or that they simply position themselves in the wrong place.

For example, trying to sell something no one needs like ties for babies or selling meat to vegetarians is a no-no. Applying common sense when making business decisions can have a massive impact on the make-or-break in your business.

PLR products are one of the hottest stuff on market nowadays. I recently came across some hot-selling PLRS which combine the Money-Making-Online niche with the Personal Development field, something fresh, unique and interesting that people would crave for. I have been busy networking with IMers and also setting up personal blog page at Khaiyong.com.

As for you guys, I have some juicy stuff on Ezine article writing. How to get the best our of your article marketing: -

  • Use HTML tags to make y our article interesting: e.g <b>, <i> and don’t forget the all important anchor text link to your site <a href=”http://www.homebizblogexpert.com>Your Site</a>
  • Sources for writing articles – Old Ezine articles, Old Blog Posts, Forums Posts, Books, E-Books, Google Searches (Remember, don’t plaguerise!)
  • Resource Box – Have your author bio and blog link in the resource box (You get to have one anchor text link in the article body),
  • Write a  medium lengthed article (250-750 words). Its called an article for a reason!
  • For Fast Approvals – Scan through your article for grammar and spelling errors. Your body must match what your title suggests. Have no more than 2 self serving links. Don’t use words like “scam” in your article. Make sure the links work.
  • These tips also can be applied to other article directories such as Article Dashboard, Article City, Article Alley etc.
