As you might have already realized, getting your home business on the top of google’s search results will bring you tons of free traffic. Traffic = Money, no?
Here’s some tips to help you achieve that.
1. Optimize your site with keywords. Be it on your website’s title,
blog post’s header or article content. Don’t overdo it or your site
might get banned for being spammy.
2. Google/Yahoo/MSN loves original content. Don’t plaguerize.
3. Images, Audio and Videos aren’t recognized by Google’s Spiders. Try to use text links with appropriate anchor text. (hint: keywords)
4. Get as many websites with high page ranking to link back to you.
These are called back links.
5. Put related blog post links of your own at the end of every blog
post you make
6. Update your website/blog regularly with fresh, original content.
7. Submit your website/blog to search engine directories or article directories
8. AVOID duplicate content. If stuff on your site is found on other
sites, it will severely affect your page ranking.
9. Consider paid links on search engines like google to boost your
traffic. Monitor ROI closely.
10. Keep learning new SEO techniques by investing in SEO material

A friend of mine had the talent of making customized jewelry using basic materials and Swarovsky crystals. After I saw the products she made I got excited almost immediately and suggested that we go around selling the crystals through a blog shop. In an instant, ideas came flowing into my mind – From brainstorming an interesting concept to sell the crystals to writing stories about swarovsky crystals. I then sought advice from a friend who had experience in blog shops and he gave me the ugly truth.

Blogshops, as simple as they may sound, is no different from a normal business. You have to plan very carefully where you want to go with your blog shop or else it might close down once it reaches its market potential. When starting a blogshop, like any other business, its important that you come up with a business plan – using optimistic numbers with surgical precision. What is your product mix going to be like? High end? Mid end? Low end? How much are you going to have to sell to reach your target for the first month, second month and so forth.
After much consideration, I decided that I wouldn’t want to continue with the Swarovsky deal because after crunching down the numbers, I feel that I could be earning more money for the amount of time I put in to do it. It’s good to have ideas sometimes but its also important to see things realisticly and don’t think you are “Superman” who can handle 4-5 projects at one time. Don’t forget we only have 24 hours in a day. The best way to use it is to focus on one business at a time and once your business becomes automated you can move on to the next.
Also, you have to set REALISTIC goals for yourself. If your goal is to make $10,000 worth of passive income every month – How are you going to do it? Plan your steps carefully and focus on your goal every single day. Don’t just get into it for the sake of fun if you want to achieve real results. If you’re not serious about it, expect the results to be small.
To sum it up, DEFINE YOUR GOALS – PLAN YOUR STRATEGIES and then PICK YOUR BATTLES.
Dear friends,
My sincerest apologies for the lack of updates. I recently took sometime off to focus on building one of my long term passive incomes.
But rest assured, over the next few weeks I will be posting REAL STUFF that are going to skyrocket your home businesses to success.
Speaking of success, I’m quite sure everyone of us has our own definition of success.
Do you guys want to know what is the secret to success? I’m going to tell you now. Its knowing exactly what you want, taking steps to achieve it and when something doesn’t work, constantly tweak your method until you see improvement. This can apply to anything from mowing the lawn to dating women. It sounds bloody obvious but the fact of the matter is, nobody is doing it. If you aren’t achieving any of your goals I suggest its time to reflect on why you aren’t achieving anything and perhaps setting more reasonable goals for yourself to reach.
For example, if you want to succeed in internet businesses, start taking steps everyday that will move you forward to your goal. For example, you may not be good at copywriting but you want to sell products on your site. So either you go and learn copywriting skills or you get PLR products,. It’s that simple. Be awfully honest with yourself on why aren’t you achieving your goals and act on it
So for this example, what you could do is join the Fusionology bandwagon. Fusionology provides you the tools and products in order for you to monetize in a highly profittable and non-competitive niche. For more info on fusionology – Go Here.
A good way to make people buy your products is by creating a sense of urgency. For example, this can be by limiting the amount of copies available or only by having a 24-Hour-Sale-Special-Price. Doing this will send a surge of emotions into your customers, pushing them to buy your product because they don’t want to be “left out”.
I find a lot of successful internet marketers boost the sales of their older products by stating that they will stop selling the product for good for some reason, so if you haven’t got your copy, this will be your last chance. When I was attending the Millionaire Mind Intensive by T Harv Eker, I was definitely “sold” alot of other courses but what intrigued me was how he managed to sell out ALL of his courses by creating a sense of urgency using a seminar-special only price. He combined other sales techniques such as hyping up the price of the seminars, offering an irresistible price and then creating a sense of urgency. These sneaky yet highly effective sales strategies can be used offline/online to boost your sales dramatically.
Imagine if Micheal Jackson’s record label company announced that tomorrow will be the last day any Micheal Jackson album will be sold in the world, I think the company would be rich beyond imagination overnight.
Neat huh? I really should be charging for this
Hey guys, it’s good to have a tracking program for your home business sites so you can track where most of your traffic is coming from and cater your business to your audience. One good program (which i’m using for this site as well) is Google Analytics. Just so you know, its much more than just a simple hit counter
. The video above teaches you how you can use Google Analytics to analyze the sources of your site traffic and to optimize your website. For example, what I realized is that most of my traffic comes from social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. Which means I really need to work on my Search Engine Optimization or build on other sources of traffic for my site. Neat huh?
True or False Question: You MUST have your own product if you want to make money online.
Answer: FALSE.
Thats right. And that’s what affiliate marketing is all about. Making money off your business partner(affiliate)’s product. All you have to do is advertise your affiliate’s product using the resources will be provided by them (banner ads, text links). You can market their products almost anywhere – from your blog, promoting them through your mailing list, as a backend link through your products if you have one.
The downside is, you will need a good mailing list or a heavy traffic site if you want to make money this way. Which you would have to work hard for – money doesn’t fall from the sky. Also, your list should also be somewhat targeted to your affiliate’s products to increase the likelihood of them buying.
“Great! I wanna make some money NOW!”
Slow down cowboy. As I mentioned earlier, you need a list or blog full of readers. There are many affiliate programs you can join. One of them is ClickBank. Just sign up and you can start selling their products immediately. Note: Different products have different commisions so its good to go check it out first.
Another way is to approach other Internet Marketers or Home Business Owners. I’m sure many would be interested in increasing their sales even if they have to pay you 50%, its still a win-win situation as you both still get cash! The best way is to drop them a personal email and get in touch with them. You will be given an affliliate link where any sales made through that link will give you a commision.

Working online may seem different from the outside world, but actually there’s alot of similarities between the two. I remember one night when I was working in a hospital with a colleague of mine. We were both working a late night shift dispensing at the pharmacy. In practice we wouldn’t usually have good relations with the patients as they would expect to ’special treatment’ everytime they see you. But my friend was an exceptional man. He had a flare for networking and seemed to have no problem being nice to everyone he sees. Because of that, he managed to secure a spot and get a discount at the pre-launch of Honda’s new City Car Model.
In comparison with the online world, its somewhat similar. You have to have good relationships with your customers if you want them to come back for more. Don’t just sell them whatever you’re selling without establishing that human link with them. Even if they don’t buy your product, they can still be a potential business partner (affiliate marketing, anyone?)
